Omaha Police investigating weekend shootings
Omaha, NE – Omaha Police are releasing the name of a person injured early Sunday morning in two north Omaha shootings.
The first happened around 1:30 AM at 45th and Nicholas Streets. When police arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to Creighton University Medical Center. One was pronounced dead. The other victim is 29-year-old David Thomas of Omaha. Authorities say he suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The name of the other victims will be released following an autopsy and notification of next of kin.
Police responded to a second shooting at 42nd and Browne Streets about 20 minutes later. Two men were found inside a car at that scene with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead. Their names have not been released.
