Papillion, NE – The Omaha Royals will play at Werner Park starting April 15, 2011.

Royals team officials announced the stadium's name Thursday at a news conference. The ballpark is under construction at 126th Street and Highway 370 in Papillion. It's on track for completion by April 2011.

Werner Enterprises bought the naming rights to the new stadium. They'll pay $305,000 a year for the next five years. The contract could be extended another five years after that. The Royals also secured corporate sponsorships for the stadium's kids area, bullpens, and for the concourse, named Rosenblatt Way. Memorabilia and photos from Rosenblatt Stadium will be placed throughout the concourse.

Royals President Alan Stein says the team is committed to remaining in Sarpy County for the next 25 years. The 2010 season was the team's last at Rosenblatt Stadium.
