Omaha Science Cafe looks at the psychological differences between liberals and conservatives.
By Cheril Lee
Omaha, NE – The Omaha Science Cafe continues this evening with a presentation by Dr. John Hibbing.
Dr. Hibbing is a University of Nebraska-Lincoln Foundation Regents University Professor of Political Science. He says the focus of his talk is on the potential physiological and cognitive differences among people with various political beliefs. Dr. Hibbing says he's been researching the differences for more than seven years. He says researchers are entertaining the possibility that there may actually be pretty deep-seeded differences between liberals and conservatives in terms of, "how they think, how they approach the world, how they experience the world."
The Omaha Science Cafe takes place from 7:00 to 8:00 tonight at the Slowdown, at 729 N. 14th Street.
