Omaha Summer Arts Festival is this weekend

This weekend the Omaha Summer Arts Festival returns to the Gene Leahy Mall.

Kristin Knisley, Market Development Manager for CenturyLink, says this year the festival will open one hour earlier on Saturday and Sunday.

Knisley says the artists attending the festival were chosen through a juried selection process.

135 artists will have booths at the festival offering everything from painting and jewelry to sculpture and photography.

"We also have our Young Artist Exhibition.  And that will be a great place, if it gets a little bit warmer, to go and cool off while you also see the artwork of more than 300 students from over 30 metro area schools in grades 6-12.  That will be at the W. Dale Clark Library."

The Omaha Summer Arts Festival runs 11-8 on Friday; 10-8 on Saturday and 10-4 Sunday.

A complete listing of festival events is available online at SummerArts.org.
