One shooting victim in critical condition, one upgraded

Omaha, NE – Three victims of yesterday's shooting at Westroads Mall were taken to Nebraska Medical Center. Spokesman Paul Baltes says two patients were released last night. The third, 61-year-old Fred Wilson, has been upgraded to serious condition. Wilson underwent surgery last night after suffering a gunshot wound to the upper chest. Information on the Nebraska Medical Center web site (www.nebraskamed.com) says Wilson is a Customer Service Manager at Von Maur, where the shootings happened.

65-year-old Micky Oldham remains in critical condition at Creighton University Medical Center. The Center's Trauma Director, Dr. Leon Sykes, says Oldham suffered wounds to the abdomen and back. Oldham is in intensive care and will require additional surgeries. Creighton University Medical Center also received three patients following the shooting. Two of those patients died.
