OPS board to interview two consulting firms Wednesday

Omaha, NE – Two consulting firms will be interviewed this week as part of the search for a new OPS superintendent.

The Omaha Public Schools board narrowed the consulting firms to two: Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates; and PROACT Search. A special meeting will be held Wednesday afternoon to interview both firms.

A consultant could be chosen at the board's November 7 meeting. Superintendent Dr. John Mackiel is retiring at the end of this school year after 39 years with OPS.
