OPS board seeking new Subdistrict 9 representative

The Omaha Public Schools board will take applications for a new Subdistrict 9 member.

The OPS board Monday night accepted the resignation of Sarah Brumfield. Brumfield was re-elected to the OPS board in May. In her letter to OPS, Brumfield said she needed to put her family first after recently welcoming her second child.

Board president Justin Wayne thanked Brumfield for her service on the school board, saying she represented her district well.

Applications will be taken for a new Subdistrict 9 board member. The OPS board has 45 days to fill the position.
