LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Authorities in Lincoln will provide an update on their investigation of an alleged rape that happened at the home where Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong and receiver Jordan Westerkamp live.
Lincoln Police and the Lancaster County Attorney will hold a news conference Wednesday morning.
Police have said a 20-year-old woman went to a Lincoln hospital on Nov. 15 and said she had been raped. The woman told police she knows the suspect, and officers contacted that person.
A third player, tight end Trey Foster, was also at the home.
Police have not announced any arrests.
Armstrong declined to comment on the situation Monday.
Nebraska coach Mike Riley said Monday that his team was preparing normally to face third-ranked Iowa on Friday despite the investigations by police and the university.
