President of Omaha's Creighton Prep resigns

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Creighton Prep High School is looking for a new president, less than a year after the hiring of its current one.

The Omaha World-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1mkrgm8 ) that Michael Giambelluca, the first layperson to serve as Catholic, all-boys prep school's president, has resigned as president after serving less than a year in the role.

Neither Giambelluca nor the school has given a reason for Giamelluca's resignation.

Giambelluca, who came to Omaha from New Orleans, will serve his last day on June 30. He took over the job in July 2013.

John Naatz has been appointed as acting president. Naatz, Prep's principal, has worked at the school for nearly 32 years.
