Presidential exhibit comes to Omaha library
By Katie Knapp
Omaha, NE – Jordan Wright's book, "Campaigning for President," highlights his collection of more than one million Presidential campaign items. Wright began collecting campaign memorabilia in 1968 at age ten. His collection includes items from George Washington's presidency all the way to the 2004 election, and he's still adding to it. Wright's collection features the usual--buttons, brochures, and bumper stickers, and the unusual--socks, jewelry, purses, clay pipes, shaving razors and many other items bearing a candidate's name or likeness. Wright's book also serves as a history lesson about each election. 40 items from the collection will be on display starting Saturday at the W. Dale Clark library in Omaha as part of the American Presidency Exhibit.
