The Process Series Continues at KANEKO

The KANEKO-UNO Creativity Library and UNO’s Writer’s Workshop are presenting the second program in their Process Series this week.

Melinda Kozel, Manager of the Creativity Library, says the purpose of the series is to offer the public panel discussions that explore how different people deal with different aspects of the creative process.

Kozel says this Thursday’s talk focuses on Revision and how to work with what you’ve got.

She says panelists will include a chef, an oncologist, a therapist and a sculptor.

"With Revision, we are really going to be asking questions about how you step back and look at what you’ve done, how you keep continuing, how you recognize what’s working and what’s not and how do you adapt that.  And we’ve found that it’s not just a technique that writers and artists use but it’s a technique that everyone uses, just in different ways.”

Kozel says the Process Series started with a discussion on first drafts. Upcoming panel discussions on completion and critique take place this spring.

This Thursday’s program starts at 5:30.
