Public forums set with OPS candidates for superintendent

OPS stakeholders have three chances this week to meet the candidates for superintendent.

Public forums are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday with the finalists. The OPS board announced the three candidates Friday at a special meeting.

One is Stephen Murley, Superintendent of the Iowa City Community School District. Another is Carey Wright, the Chief Academic Officer of the D.C. Public Schools. The third is Mark Evans, Superintendent of the Andover, Kansas, Public Schools.

Each forum begins at 4:30pm in the TAC building board room. The candidates will make a presentation and take questions from the public. OPS plans to announce its new superintendent next Monday.
