Douglas County Commissioners could approve the county’s 2013-14 budget Tuesday.
A public hearing is one of only two items on the Douglas County Board’s agenda for Tuesday morning. The $323.9 million budget contains a property tax increase. Residents would pay 28 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
The general fund part of the budget is $169.1 million dollars. The budget proposal contains significant cuts to the Election Commissioner and GIS departments.
Douglas County’s new fiscal year began July 1.
