Ralston Arena officially opens this weekend

Ralston’s multi-use sports and events arena opens Sunday.

An open house is planned from noon to 4pm at the Ralston Arena, located at 7300 Q Street. Construction began on the arena 15 months ago. It’s a 120,000 square foot mixed-use facility, for sports, concerts, and special events.

The $27.8 million, 3,400 seat arena will be the home of the Omaha Lancers, UNO mens basketball, and the Omaha Beef of the Indoor Football League.  Another $9 million was spent on land and infrastructure.
