Randy Gregory planning to 'turn a lot of heads' at combine

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Former Nebraska defensive end Randy Gregory says he's going to "turn a lot of heads" at the NFL scouting combine in two weeks.

Gregory is a two-time, All-Big Ten first-team pick and is considered one of the best pass rushers available for the draft.

Gregory said in an interview with The Associated Press on Friday that he would be most comfortable as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Nebraska typically used a four-man front, with Gregory occasionally dropping to linebacker.

Gregory said he knows some draft analysts are concerned about his strength and ability to maintain weight. His goal is to bench press 225 pounds 20 times at the combine. He said he expects to weigh in at about 250 pounds. He sometimes was 20 pounds lighter at Nebraska.
