Re[defyne] Leadership the theme of this year's ICAN Conference

The 22nd annual ICAN Women’s Leadership Conferencetakes place on Wednesday, April 8th at the CenturyLink Center.

Susan Henricks, ICAN President and CEO, says in the last couple years, the conference has had more than 2000 attendees.

This year’s theme is “Redefining Leadership.”  Henricks says presentations will revolve around the four “C’s,” confidence, collaboration creativity and compassion.

She says these are capabilities every good leader should have now and in the future.

Henricks says one of the featured speakers is Katty Kay.

"She is a BBC anchor in Washington DC.  She has just written a book called The Confidence Code.  The book is essentially about why it is that girls and women so frequently are less confident than boys and men and what can be done about that.”

Henricks says the other guest speaker is Erik Wahl, entrepreneur, artist, philanthropist and author of Unthink.

She says attendees may choose from a variety of breakout sessions and there will be a Men’s Track for the second year.

The ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference takes place from 8:30 to 4 on Wednesday, April 8th
