Robert Glaser and Urban Jazz to perform at Omaha on Stage Sunday
Special guest vocalist Tyler Hughes to appear with group
The Jazz on Stage series at Omaha on Stage concludes this season Sunday evening with Robert Glaser and the Urban Jazz Quartet with special guest vocalist Tyler Hughes. Robert Glaser is a veteran jazz pianist and educator who performs regularly in the area. He performs as a soloist at the Westroad's Von Maur store and with private bookings through his groups Urban Delight, Horns of Plenty, Urban Jazz, The Gravydippers, Schubert Alley and the Sing, Sing, Swing Orchestra. He released his first compact disc of original compositions Urban Dreams in April 1998 followed by three other releases: My Bright Blue Piano, Okoboji Memories and a holiday CD entitled Santa Claus is Near. The concert with Robert Glaser and Urban Jazz takes place Sunday April 13th at the theatre after an open jam session in the lobby at 5pm allowing the students of music and the pros the opportunity to jam together and exchange musical ideas.
