Robert Krist named new District 10 State Senator

Omaha, NE – A retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and Army Corps of Engineers pilot is the new State Senator for District 10.

Governor Dave Heineman announced the appointment today of Robert Krist to the District 10 seat vacated by Mike Friend. Friend is the new Director of the Office of Violence Prevention. Krist graduated from Creighton Prep in 1975. He served in the Air Force from 1979 to 2000. During that time he was a Commander in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and piloted the Looking Glass missions from Offutt Air Force Base.

Krist says education and controlling government spending are his top priorities. He says he hopes to meet the needs of his constituents in District 10.
