Roy Orbison cared about two things in life more than anything else-music and family. Often, those two combined, but Roy's sons never got the chance to share the stage with their dad. They did find a tape of a song that Roy never finished, and as a family Roy's boys completed it as his backup band.
In this one-hour radio special, you'll hear about the life and times of Roy Orbison from his sons- Wesley, Roy Jr. and Alex - plus Roy's producer and collaborator Jeff Lynne. Also you'll hear tracks from the newly reissued CD Mystery Girl, which turned out to be Roy's final recording before his untimely death in 1989. The special is hosted by John Carter Cash and produced by Joyride Media.
"Roy Orbison: Mystery Girl" airs Sunday June 1 at 7:00pm on KIOS.
