Sen. Annette Dubas to kick off gubernatorial campaign Sunday

FULLERTON, Neb. (AP) — State Sen. Annette Dubas kicks off her campaign for governor on Sunday, when she begins a statewide tour starting in her hometown of Fullerton.

Following her campaign announcement at her family farm in Fullerton, Dubas will make stops in a dozen Nebraska cities across the state over the following four days. Those stops include Lincoln, Omaha, South Sioux City, Norfolk, Columbus and Kearney, as well as Lexington, North Platte, Scottsbluff, Alliance, Broken Bow and Grand Island.

Dubas, a farmer and rancher, will face former University of Nebraska Regent Chuck Hassebrook in next spring's Democratic primary to replace Republican Gov. Dave Heineman, who can't seek re-election due to term limits.
