Omaha, NE – State Senator Steve Lathrop plans to run for a second term.
Lathrop, who represents District 12, filed Friday for re-election. His District includes Ralston, Millard and parts of southwest Omaha. Lathrop was first elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2006.
Lathrop says he wants to continue work on issues affecting people with disabilities. He also wants to help the Unicameral find solutions to budget issues. Lathrop says the budget for the next biennium will be much different without stimulus money.
Nebraska's primary election is May 11th.
