Senate candidates to debate in late September

The candidates for Nebraska’s open U.S. Senate seat will debate in Omaha later this month.

Bob Kerrey and Deb Fischer are scheduled to debate September 28th at the Omaha Community Playhouse. The debate is sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and KETV.

Kerrey is a former Nebraska Governor and U.S. Senator. Fischer is a State Senator from Valentine.

They’re running to fill the Senate seat currently held by Ben Nelson.
