Severe weather threat through Thursday

The National Weather Servicesays more severe weather is possible in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa through Thursday.

A line of severe thunderstorms brought damaging winds and concerns of a possible tornado early Monday morning. The National Weather Service in Omaha says wind gusts of 77 miles per hour were recorded in Fremont and 67 miles per hour in Omaha.

As of mid-morning Monday, OPPD reported 5,164 customers were without power.

More storms are expected to move in to eastern Nebraska late Monday afternoon.
