Significant flooding in southeast Nebraska

Omaha, NE – The Missouri River remains well above flood stage at Rulo and Nebraska City.
A news release from the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency says the river is above 26 feet at Rulo. The water level is expected to drop by Friday. Flood stage is 17 feet. At Nebraska City, the Missouri River is seven feet above flood stage.
NEMA says Highway 159 is closed at the Rulo bridge. Highway 275 is also closed between Scribner and West Point due to flooding.
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has set up a website, www.dhhs.ne.gov/severestorms, for anyone needing information about flood insurance, resources, or water safety. You can also call 211.
