Omaha, NE – Tonight's Omaha Science Cafe focuses on the principles and influence of social marketing.
UNMC Instructor Lea Pounds talks about some of the key principles of social marketing, including stepping back and understanding what motivates people to adopt certain behaviors. She says she will also discuss the marketing mix, also known as the four p's: products, place, price and promotion. Pounds says she thinks anybody that has an interest in marketing at all will enjoy the talk. Additionally, she says her presentation will appeal to individuals that are interested in looking at ways to help motivate people to change their health behaviors for the better.
The Omaha Science Cafe takes place at the Slowdown tonight, starting at 7:00. The Slowdown is located at 729 N. 14th Street.
