Sun., Dec. 20, 7:00pm – “Festivo Alt.Latino with Gaby Moreno and Friends”

Alt.Latino continues its homegrown tradition of celebrating the holidays in song with a special show featuring songwriter/performer Gaby Moreno and her band performing tracks from her popular 2014 album “Posada”.

Mon., Dec. 21, 8:00pm – “An Afro Blue Christmas”

Howard University’s premiere vocal ensemble Afro Blue and special guest, pianist Cyrus Chestnut, perform a variety of holiday songs, including African-American spirituals, jazz and pop tunes, and classical repertoire.

Tue., Dec 22, 8:00pm – “Song Travels: Home for the Holidays”

The Michael Feinstein Big Band performs selections from the classic movie “White Christmas”, and Feinstein shares rare recordings from some of his favorite performers.

Wed., Dec. 23, 8:00pm – “Jazz Piano Christmas XXVI”

From the Kennedy Center, Kenny Barron, Fred Hersch, and Carmen Staaf perform their favorite holiday songs in a program hosted by Felix Contreras.

Thu., Dec. 24, 9:00am – “A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols”

A live service of spoken-word and music (choral and organ), broadcast from the chapel of King’s College in Cambridge, England. The 30-voice King’s College Choir performs.

Thu., Dec. 24, 10:30am – “Henry's Story”

Enjoy KIOS-FM’s own original Christmas program. Written by Doug Marr, and read by Laura Marr, with music by George Winston, “Henry’s Story” shows that the true meaning of Christmas can be found anywhere – even in a second grade classroom.
