LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A Nebraska state senator has announced plans to seek re-election to his seat in the Legislature.
Sen. Burke Harr said he will host a 2014 campaign kickoff celebration on Thursday at Castle Barrett in Omaha.
Harr, of Omaha, was first elected in 2010. He works as a private practice attorney, and was a former felony prosecutor in the Douglas County attorney's office.
Harr serves on the Legislature's Revenue, Agriculture and Business and Labor committees. He also is a member of the Tax Modernization Committee, which is looking at possible reforms to Nebraska's tax code.
