Council Bluffs, IA – Western Iowa's Fifth Congressional District is large, encompassing the western third of the state. The U.S. Representative for that district has constituents from Spirit Lake in the north to Lamoni in the south.
In this year's Fifth District election, Democrat Matt Campbell hopes to unseat Republican incumbent Steve King, who's held that office since 2002. Omaha Public Radio's Katie Knapp Schubert recently spoke with King about his decision to seek a fifth term in office.
