The Storytelling Exhibit at KANEKO runs through the end of August

KANEKO’s newest exhibition is called Storytelling and runs through August 27th.

Dave Richards, Dean of Library Services at UNO, says this exhibit celebrates the art, format and delivery of storytelling throughout time.

Richards says viewers will get a look at how storytelling has evolved over the years from oral history and manuscript writing to books and motion pictures.

He says all modes including the written, drawn and spoken word will be represented

"They’re also going to look at the digital aspect, taking raw data and using data visualization software and putting out sort of a nice, interpretive graphic that can really translate all these different data sets into something people can understand.”

Storytelling artists represented in the exhibit include Bryce Bridges, journalist and educator, Joe Nicholson, illustrator and Sarah Mason, author.

KANEKO’s public gallery hours during the Storytelling season will be 11 to 7 Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 to 4 on Saturdays.
