Suttle: job creation the key to reducing violence

By Katie Knapp

Omaha, NE – A candidate for Mayor of Omaha says job creation is critical to reducing violence in Omaha.

Jim Suttle is one of two City Councilmen running for Mayor. Suttle says he wants to create 1,000 jobs along the Missouri River corridor. Those jobs, according to Suttle, would be manufacturing, green industry, and high-tech jobs, providing employment to residents of north Omaha. Suttle says every manufacturing job would create eight additional jobs.

Suttle says community partnerships and early intervention are also an important part of reducing violence. He says the Police Department should have a good relationship with all residents of Omaha.
