Omaha, NE – Disney's Beauty & the Beast is onstage at the Orpheum Theatre through Sunday. The show is being presented by Omaha Performing Arts and Broadway Across America.
Michael Fatica plays Lefou, sidekick and servant to the arrogant Gaston. He says he loves playing Lefou because he's a little dimwitted but has great intentions. Fatica says the show follows the film and the original Broadway production to an extent, but says there are a few differences. He says there are a couple of extra songs that weren't in the movie, including one called "Being Human." Fatica says the song, which was cut from the movie, "is about how the enchanted objects in the show want to be human again."
