The third annual Federal Legislative Summit took place earlier this month

By Cheril Lee

Omaha, NE – Earlier this month, the Chambers of Commerce of Greater Omaha, Lincoln and Bellevue, along with the Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce & Industry offered the third annual Federal Legislative Summit.

Wendy Boyer is Vice President of Community Affairs for the Greater Omaha Chamber. She says the summit is an opportunity for the state's congressional delegation to meet with the local business community. Boyer says topics covered at the summit included the budget and the budget process, uncertainty in the economy, and how it's affecting business and economic growth, "This is about continuing relationships and continuing the dialogue that is important to business with our congressional delegation. Also, we want to make sure that they are aware of our positions on key specific issues. And really, just how their decisions are impacting Nebraska businesses."
