Third Thursday Dialogue continues tonight

By Cheril Lee

Omaha, NE – Omaha Table Talk continues tonight with Third Thursday Open Dialogue.

A'Jamal Byndon is the Executive Director for Omaha Table Talk. He says the event was created to offer citizens in the community the opportunity to have conversations on race and diversity. Byndon says on the Third Thursday of each month, individuals may set an agenda and use Omaha Table Talk's site as a safe place to openly discuss issues of importance to them. He says, "there are not many organizations where people can come in and engage in conversations in what we'd call a safe environment. You get to engage each other." Byndon says in the past few months, they've had anywhere from 15 to 18 people show up and talk about issues of the day, whether it's happening nationally or locally.

Omaha Table Talk's Third Thursday Open Dialogue takes place tonight from 6:00 to 7:30 at the Collaborating Center, 115 S. 49th Street.
