Omaha, NE – Anne Hindery, CEO of Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, is the featured speaker at today's Hungry Club.
Hindery will discuss the power of non-profits in the community, including their economic vitality and how they add to citizens' quality of life. She says there are two main points she hopes people take away from her talk, "non-profits are a business just like any other business, except our bottom line is different. Non-profits do make money; it's just that we put it back into our business. The other take away is that I hope people realize, every day, in some way shape or form, their lives are touched by a non-profit. Non-profits aren't just taking care of other people. It's really how, in a community, we take care of each other."
The Hungry Club takes place at Noon today in Big Mama's Kitchen, 45th Street and Bedford Avenue.
