Toddler in Omaha video in protective custody

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Omaha police say the toddler in a video posted online who was being encouraged to curse is now in protective custody.

Police said Wednesday that four children, including the toddler in the video, were removed from the home.

Omaha police launched an investigation after the police union posted the video online.

The union said it wanted to stimulate discussion about problems in the community and show what officers encounter. Critics say there were better ways to do that.

Police say prosecutors reviewed the video and determined no criminal activities had taken place. However, police say authorities did find safety concerns in the home that led to the removal of the children.
