Two Omaha festivals joining with Loessfest

Two Omaha festivals are joining with Council Bluffs’ Loessfest this year.

This is the third year of Loessfest. Events begin May 23rd at Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park. This year, Taste of Omaha will be part of Loessfest. It’ll also feature a “Mini-Maha”—a Maha Music Festival concert.

Council Bluffs Mayor Matt Walsh hopes the two festivals become a yearly part of Loessfest.

"Taste of Omaha and Maha are long-term events that many people in Omaha have on their schedule to attend, and so bringing them in to Loessfest and making them part of Loessfest really reinforces the cooperation between the two communities and gives the opportunity for people to get together and enjoy three events all at one."

Walsh says it’s the first step in Omaha and Council Bluffs hosting multiple events together.
