Omaha, NE – More than 15,000 students are enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Omaha this fall.
Numbers released by UNO show total student enrollment is 15,380, a 2.6 percent increase over fall 2008. That figure includes 3,400 new freshmen and transfer students.
UNO Spokesman Tim Kaldahl says new buildings, classes and programs are to credit for attracting more students. He says UNO's Centennial Campaign and Student recruitment also played a role. Kaldahl says UNO professors opened up additional class offerings and expanded class sizes to accommodate more students.
