Omaha, NE – Chancellor John Christensen says UNO has enjoyed a steady increase in enrollment over the last five years.

He says UNO has 15,422 students enrolled for the fall 2010 semester. Christensen says this year UNO is enjoying a start up like they haven't had in history for a couple of reasons. He says seldom do you have so many major events happening on campus. Christensen says the college will open the new Health, Physical Education and Recreation facility which will house campus health and will be about 2 times bigger than it was before. He says, "We're opening a brand new business college which is probably the very best business facility in the United States, the old Hayden House has been renovated and made handicapped accessible and we've started to renovate Roskens Hall which will be a new home for the College of Education."

Christensen says the college is also beginning the construction of new housing which is slated to open next fall.
