Show to feature local high school jazz bands in concert.By KIOS
Omaha, Nebraska – KIOS continues a once monthly three part series of highlights from the 2008 UNO Great Plains Jazz Festival. The second installment of this series will air Thursday July 3rd at 8:00PM.
Recorded earlier this year, the two-day festival presented the finest talent from around the eastern Nebraska and western Iowa region from middle and high schools.
The second show will feature performances by the high school jazz bands of Bellevue East, Lewis Central, Omaha Burke, Lincoln East, and Lincoln North Star.
The festival took place in February on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
