Omaha, Nebraska – On Thursday March 5th KIOS begins a once monthly three part series of highlights from the 2009 UNO Great Plains Jazz Festival.
The festival was held in February at The University of Nebraska at Omaha. The two-day festival featured the finest talent from around the eastern Nebraska and western Iowa region from middle and high schools. The shows will present area high school bands on stage at the Strauss Performing Arts Center at UNO during the festival which was held on February 20-21, 2009. Performances from the high school jazz bands of Omaha, Papillion-La Vista, Council Bluffs, Lincoln, and Grand Island will be presented on this monthly series.
Highlights from the UNO Great Plains Jazz Festival will air Thursday night, March 5th at 8pm on KIOS.
