UNO sees increased enrollment

UNO has a total enrollment of 15,227 for the fall 2013 semester and is up 3% overall.

The university has seen an increase for several years now. BJ Reed, Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, says this year’s incoming freshman class is the largest in history at 1,890 students. Additionally, he says graduate students have increased by more than 9% this year.

"One of the things that’s important to us is to make sure that when the students get here, that they stay here, they persevere and they graduate.  So recruitment and enrollment management is an important piece of it.  But it’s also important that those students stay and then graduate in a reasonable period of time.”

UNO also made increases in international students and nonresident students.  For more information, the website is www.unomaha.edu.
