UNO's Seven Days of Service is this week

This week, UNO is on spring break but many faculty, staff and students are participating in the university’s annual Seven Days of Service.

Tiffany Clifton, Volunteer Connection Center Student Manager for UNO, says the Seven Days of Service offers opportunities people to serve on and off-campus all week with over 40 different, local non-profits.

Clifton says volunteers will be working with anywhere from seven to 16 organizations every day this week.

"Later in the week we will be in Lauritzen Gardens, working out in the gardens.  We will be working at HETRA which is horse therapy riding.  We will be working on a pathway out at Carol Joy Holling Camp so those that have walking disabilities can get down to the pond.  And we will be over in the Benson area clearing out a lot for a community garden for the Ready in Five program.”

Seven Days of Service is organized by UNO’s Office of Civic and Social Responsibility.  For more information, the website is unomaha.edu.
