USDA Rural Development to observe Earth Day in Central City

CENTRAL CITY, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska USDA Rural Development will be in Central City later this month to join other community around the state celebrating Earth Day.

The USDA event will be held on Thursday at the Venture Center located at the east corner of U.S. Highway 30 and Nebraska Highway 14.

One of the topics will be USDA's role in the Central City Solar Garden. Ag producers and businesses are encouraged to attend to learn how USDA Rural Development can assist with funding energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Omaha will hold an Earth Day event in Elmwood Park on Saturday, and Lincoln will hold its observation on April 23 at Union Plaza.
