Use of Local, Statewide Census Data is Focus of August 17th Conference at UNO

Omaha, NE – The 21st annual Nebraska Data Conference takes place next Tuesday at UNO's CPACS building.

David Drozd, a CPAR Research Coordinator, says the conference will cover the upcoming release of the 2010 census information. He says the main session will offer data users product updates and let them know what's new in the census bureau. Drozd says eight regional researchers will discuss new data for zip codes and neighborhoods, political redistricting following the 2010 census and the lates data on health insurance coverage. He says all 93 counties will have socio-economic data for the first time since 2000.

The Nebraska Data Conference begins at 8:00 a.m. next Tuesday. The number for registration is 554-2133.
