On Valentine's Day, a message of chasing dreams

The founder of an Omaha tech start-up hopes this Valentine’s Day is one of encouragement and inspiration for metro area residents.

Thought Puzzle founder Chris Augeri released a video Thursday called “I Dream of Me.” The video, and subsequent website, discuss Augeri’s 20 year journey to get his PhD and start his data analysis company. Augeri, who’s also an adjunct professor in Creighton University’s College of Business, says he wants his story to demonstrate that anyone can achieve their goals, no matter the circumstances.

"For each and every one of us there is a certain path, and in many ways we can set that path, that we’re not subject to external forces, that we can sit there and say, well, I actually want my life to go this way, and not only can I imagine it but then I can turn it in to a very concrete step."

Augeri, an Air Force Veteran, says he plans to write a book based on the video. He chose a Valentine’s Day release for the video in hopes it’ll inspire others to pursue their dreams.

His company, Thought Puzzle, creates data analysis programs to help businesses determine how to best serve their customers and audience.
