"Whoops! Gotta Go” is the title of the first presentation in this year’s VNA Senior Speaker Series.
Mike Alston, VP of Marketing and Business Development with the Visiting Nurse Association, says the speech is focused on ways to maintain a healthy bladder as you age.
He says Thursday’s kickoff session will include a mini trade show as well as food and refreshments.
Alston says all sessions are geared toward helping seniors stay safe and remain independent in their own homes.
"We’ll do Vision and Hearing in June. In September we will be talking about Fall Prevention. And that’s actually Fall Prevention Month so we wanted to make it relevant. In early November, we will be talking about hospice and palliative care. It’s an area that people know a little bit about but we find there’s a real lack of understanding of the benefits that are available to them.”
