Voter registration deadlines approaching

Friday is the deadline to register to vote by any other method than in-person for Omaha’s 2013 general election.

Douglas County Election Commissioner Dave Phipps says Friday is the deadline for mail-in registrations to be postmarked. It’s also the last day a voter registration for can be dropped off at the Election Commission office on behalf of someone who’s registering. You can register in-person at the office until May 3rd.

Also, the last day to request an early voting ballot to be mailed to you, if you aren’t registered to vote, is Friday.

The general election is May 14th. More information is available at www.votedouglascounty.com.
