Programs will add to the KIOS evening jazz lineup
By Chris Cooke
Omaha, Nebraska – Fans of music shows heard on KIOS during the early afternoon can look for them at a new time starting the week of Monday, July 2.
Starting that week, Beale Street Caravan(Mondays), Brazilian Hour(Tuesdays), Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz(Wednesdays) and Jazz Profiles(Thursdays) will move to 8:00pm on their respective broadcast days. These programs will be followed by Jazz with Bob Parlocha at 9:00pm weeknights, Mondays-Thursdays.
Additionally that week, Jazz from Studio One, airing Fridays at 1:00pm, will leave the broadcast schedule.
World Briefing, now airing at 8:00pm weeknights, will also be discontinued.
A new program, The Story with Dick Gordon, will air weekdays at 1:00pm, starting July 2. Veteran journalist Dick Gordon and his staff will explore today's issues using a different perspective-the stories of everyday people.
Chris Cooke is the host of Jazz in the Afternoon and Last Call on KIOS-FM.
