Papillion, NE – The new home of the Omaha Storm Chasers is nearly ready for its mid-April opening.
Construction is almost complete on Werner Park, the Storm Chasers' new stadium at 126th Street and Highway 370 in Papillion. Storm Chasers Vice President and General Manager Martie Cordaro says they're planning for opening day events at the ballpark April 15th.
Cordaro says Storm Chasers' baseball won't be the only event at Werner Park. "We'll have a number of high school games yet this year, potentially some college games, and there are some not-for-profit events that will be announced as the next six months go on."
Cordaro says an open house for the $26 million dollar stadium is scheduled for April sixth.
