West Nile Virus case confirmed in Mills County, Iowa

Omaha, NE – Mills County, Iowa health officials say there's a confirmed case of West Nile Virus there.

A news release from Mills County says the victim is an adult woman. Earlier this month, West Nile cases were confirmed in Pottawattamie and Harrison Counties.

Health officials recommend using mosquito repellant with DEET, picaridin, IR3535, or oil of lemon or eucalyptus when you're outside. Wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, shoes, and socks. You should also remove areas of standing water.
